Yes, just get white canvas so that you don't have to put a primer coat on. Learn from my mistakes!

thats sad to read that they are cracking, next time you should use acrylic paints watered down, they soak right into the cavas and rather than cracking, fade over time. But awesome shoes ^^ at first glace I thought you ironed on the images, well done

I actually had fabric medium, but the problem is that I was using a pre-patterned shoe. So, there was a primer coat or two, one screwed up layer, and the images you see above.
